Founded in 2014 by Nigerian trumpeter and composer, Olugbade Okunade, who began his career in the Internationally acclaimed afrobeat orchestra, Fela Kuti’s Egypt 80, performing worldwide at Montreal Jazz (CAN), WOMAD (UK, AUS), Coachella (USA) and Fuji Rock (JPN) to name a few. Alárìíyá means ‘Party People’ in Yorùbá, deliver original compositions in English and Yorùbá captivating audiences and creating positive vibes at every show – including, White Night Melbourne, Moomba, Brunswick Music Festival, St Kilda Festival, African Music and Cultural Festival, Fairfield Summer Series and Queen Victoria Night Markets.
