Art Seed Creative Music Series

Helen Svoboda is a Finnish/Australian award-winning double bassist, vocalist and composer. “A musician who absolutely defies categorisation” (Andrew Ford - The Music Show, ABC), her work explores the melodic potential of the double bass, weaving extended techniques, overtones and voice across abstract song forms. For this performance, she is joined by friend and collaborator Pat Telfer on electronics and live processing, to reimagine and augment elements of her solo material. Aditya Ryan Bhat is a musician in Narrm/Melbourne who makes improvised and notated music with acoustic and electronic means. Oftentimes a percussionist, Aditya is also involved in composing, curating, and writing about music, generally bringing a political focus to these activities.
