Basil Big Band is a Melbourne-based 18-piece jazz orchestra known for tight arrangements, hard-swinging grooves and a big, brassy sound. Made up of some of the city’s best up-and-coming musicians, Basil blends classic big band energy with funk, soul, and fresh, modern charts.
Whether reworking standards or playing original tunes, their sets are high-energy, bold, and impossible to ignore. Expect music that hits hard and players who love what they do.
