A reflection of the cultural melting pot in which Dany was born and raised, her music merges the classic Bossa Nova, Jazz, Samba tunes and MPB (Brazilian Popular Music). Dany Maia is a Brazilian singer, dancer, and performer. Born and raised in Salvador, Brazil, Dany was exposed to a diverse range of musical styles, including samba, bossa nova, and MPB (Brazilian Popular Music). She began singing and performing at a young age and quickly developed a passion for music that would eventually become her life's work. Her music draws from a wide range of influences, including jazz, samba, MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) and Bossa Nova.

Her promising career managed her invitations to lead a few bands when she performed at the famous Carnivals of Sao Paulo, Salvador and Porto Seguro. In 2004, she produced and released her first promo album, Danielle Maia Ao Vivo, where four out of the twelve tracks are originals. In 2016 Dany Maia release her single “Leve” an Intimate and chillout song featuring smooth vocals and beautiful arrangements, and “Amor Pra Vida Inteira” (Forever Love) Arranged by Jorge Albuquerque (Bass player and Composer).

In 2010 Dany Maia made her way to Australia, to not less multicultural Melbourne, where she’s met local artists and created partnerships that only complete her miscellaneous work. Dany Maia has performed diverse gigs in the Melbourne music scene. Dany played in venues like Melbourne Recital Centre, Birds Basement, JazzLab, Paris Cat Jazz Club and in Festivals like St Kilda Festival, Johnston St Festival and much more.
