Fronted by Perth born multi-instrumentalist Harry Tompsett, Eora/Sydney based spiritual jazz / improvised groove collective HAZTET explore a cosmic vastitude of dense sonic realms, guided continuously by the rich, bountiful osmosis of improvised collaborative experimentation.
Profoundly inspired by the music of Mulatu Astatke, Pharoah Sanders, Joe Henderson and John Coltrane as well as oz legends Barney McAll, Julien Wilson, Close Counters and 30/70, audiences can expect vibrant jazz harmony, percussion driven Afro-infused dance grooves and layered ambient SFX soundscapes.
HAZTET features a unique and varying assortment of Australia’s most exciting emerging creative artists.
