Kaimán Jiménez is a Colombian-born, Melbourne-based artist renowned for his dynamic fusion of traditional Latin American rhythms with contemporary electronic music. As the frontman of the Latin alternative band Amaru Tribe, he has released multiple albums and garnered critical acclaim.
Beyond his band work, Jiménez is a pivotal figure in Australia's picó culture scene, leading the El Gran Mono sound system. This project brings the vibrant, bass-heavy street party traditions of Colombia to Australian audiences.
