About the event

“Cultural and Musical Ambassador for the Solomons Islands. Musician extraordinaire and log Drum specialist.”

Born the son of a chief of Malaita, Natty Dolaiasi is one of the most powerful voice of traditional Solomons culture, bringing to life the 20,000 thousand year-old chants of the tribal ancestors. Natty Dolaiasi has for a long time been “a voice on the wilderness” fighting to preserve the tribal songs and culture from extinction. His ambition is to revive the ancient Solomons ceremonial music for the benefit of future generations and with the music, as with all indigenous culture, comes a reverence and deep spiritual connection with nature and our earthly home. His message is clear: “We are Here, we exist and we are an essential part of this global family.”
