Oggy Oggy is the new project of bass player, composer, and improviser Oscar Lenain. While touring and releasing music as a sideman on many genre-diverse projects in the last few years, including Paprika, LAZR Bees, Convenience Store and various jazz outfits, Oscar has been quietly consolidating his own musical identity. Inspired by contemporary large group jazz-funk and nu jazz bands, Oscar’s detailed arrangements and deep rhythmic structures defy expectations while still grooving hard.
