 RASA is a special one night performance where Melbourne and Bar Oussou says hello to two of India’s finest musicians in a big way. Dinushan Shanmuganathan (drums) and Anirban Sengupta (guitar) are prominent musicians who are most well- known for their association with Lucky Ali, India’s legendary pop music icon. They are also key names in the Indian indie music scene, both being former members of the highly popular Bangalore-based progressive fusion band Pineapple Express. Currently on tour in Australia with Lucky Ali, Dinushan and Anirban are stopping by Bar Oussou to see what Melbourne’s indie music scene is all about. They’re going to play improvised music and will be joined by Melbourne’s Henry Smithers (Sanny Veloo, Rubita) on bass, percussionist powerhouse Suneth Fernando (Band Mystery), and the violinist Huich Goh (Sahul Sakti, Paul Kidney Experience, Trago Amargo, Star/Time, She Weaves Grotesqueries).
