About the event
Rory Tiganis-Hannan is a Melbourne based drummer and composer. His dynamic,
energetic and explosive sound behind the kit is electrifying; leading to performances at
prestigious venues and festivals throughout the country. Catch Rory and his immensely
talented band consisting of his good friends Thomas Colemanbell (alto sax/flute), Aaron Evans (keys) and Patrick Duncan-Deveny (bass) at Sydney Road’s much-loved Bar Oussou on Sunday the 8th of September.
Their performance will feature distinctive, groove-filled tunes written by Rory and his
friends; delving into the captivating new sounds of jazz which draw inspiration from
genres such as hip hop, soul/ neo-soul, funk, fusion and electronic music.
With a keen interest in improvisation and various forms of fusion music, expect to hear a range of influences and to witness the deep pocket grooves and unique interaction of the band!
