We are thrilled to host Salama at Bar Oussou, performing the vibrant and powerful Maloya: a music and dance style born out of slavery in Réunion Island. Maloya stands as a symbol resilience and cultural pride, and was once banned for it's political and spirital strength. With traditional instruments, call-and-response singing, and strong grounding dance, come and celebrate this heritage with energy, heart, and a powerful connection to community. Get ready for a participatory concert that invites you to clap, sing, and move with the rhythm!
