THICKEN is a quartet of musicians that perform loosely guided improvisations in a live setting, bringing varied backgrounds in jazz, heavy metal, and more together in a shared spirit of exploration.🎸
Through longform improvisations we seek moments of expressiveness, groove, contemplation, variety, and happily oscillate, at irregular intervals, between freeform chaos and hypnotic rhythms.Â
THICKEN features the following performers and instruments: Nick Delaney (electric bass), Tony Hicks (woodwind), John Kostaras (drumkit), and Kier Stevens (electric guitar)
