Tsiftes Trio brings together three musicians of different backgrounds and influences, providing an exciting twist to the music of the well loved Rebetiko style. These classic songs of love, jealousy, crime and friendship epitomize pre-war life in the slums of Athens. Alex Petropoulos, Stav Thomopoulos and Yanni Arvanitis bring melodic harmonies, technical mastery and sensitivity to this highly candid and emotive style.
