WALA are a traditional West African drum and dance ensemble from Ghana, bringing to a stage a firing powerful performance of 10 drums played with hands, feet and sticks, soaring vocal harmonies that brings everyone to dance and celebrate life! 🤸💐

WALA will bringing to the stage five high calibre skilled musicians playing a powerfully  dynamic performance of 12 drums and percussion instruments played with hands, feet and sticks, rich souring vocal harmonies, shakers and flutes. Their performance repertoire is a combination of complex traditional rhythms and Palm Wine songs that forms the basis of Ghana ́s Highlife music. An energetic performance that will get you dancing non stop and wanting more. 💃🤩

WALA Is Life: An awe inspiring West African drum and dance ensemble from Ghana (West Africa) with 20 years experience touring Australia and internationally. WALA ́s music, songs, and dances are a homage to their ancestors and cultural history, depicting the life and soul of their culture. Their music is a combination of traditional songs and rhythms accompanied with awe struck dancing, fused with their own original arrangements. WALA have graced the stages of numerous professional festivals and venues: Immigration Museum, St Kilda Festival, Moomba Festival, Riverfest, Woodford Folk Festival, Sydney Global Village, Adelaide Fringe Festival, National Multicultural Festival in Canberra, QLD performing Arts Centre and Tanks Art Centre, BEAMAC Cultural Arts, and Nexus Art, to name a few. 🌍
